JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
- Execute maintenance work and ensure meeting with defined Standards
- Execute and perform the preventive and corrective maintenance work done by the various maintenance teams/outsource contractors
- Execute and ensure proper implementation of work processes and procedures
- Execute and perform adhoc lead project work
- Review monthly reports from maintenance contractors.
- Execute maintenance works and ensure they are performed efficiently, safely and in accordance with specifications.
- Perform/execute of the failure management and emergency response procedures.
- Ensure the proper and safe execution of the work and ensuring the work processes and works are carried out to completion and carrying out checks on the work carried out by staff or contracted workmen under his charge.
- To perform the role of appointment holder for accesses to railway premises and in-charge role for the proper execution of work as directed
- To respond to emergency situation
- In essence the position is responsible for the proper and safe execution of the work and ensuring the work processes and works are carried out to completion and to the satisfaction of the supervisory
- Any other responsibilities and tasks as assigned by the superior.
Specific Safety Responsibilities
- In-charge of all safety related issues in Permanent Way/Civil Structures/Facilities Management Section.
- To ensure works teams complies with all safety requirements stated in the Company Safety Management System.
- To conduct periodic safety inspections.
- The comply with company safety rules and procedures and Government Statutory Act and ensuring work is completed in a safe manner and the completed work is safe for train or vehicle to run.
Requirements:
- Possessed Minimum Education/Qualifications – NTC2/3 or Diploma in Civil Engineering
- At least 2 years relevant experience in construction, civil engineering or permanent way in a railway environment.
