JOB DESCRIPTION
- Oversee to the implementation of the inventory management strategies to ensure the on time delivery to material planner to keep the final commitment date to sales and PMO
- Select the most reliable sources and develop/maintain sound professional vendor relationships in order to ensure a continued supply of critical materials and services
- Sourcing for the new parts and suppliers to meet the new product & project requirement
- Negotiation with suppliers for the best price and lead-time and maintain the good quality
- Provide optimum vendor performance through supplier visits and development by expediting methods, maintenance of quality standards and establishment of good communication channels with vendor management and sales personnel
- Monitor supplier performance in areas of responsiveness and flexibility
- Drive process improvements to ensure that the plan is meeting or exceeding defined targets date and cost
- Ensure all the parts purchase are meeting the specifications
- Liaise with vendor for the vendor quality improvement, cost, good payment term
- Coordinate with vendor for the parts arrival replacement and provides the prompt update to material planner/ PMO for any changes of the arrival date that may affected the final delivery to customer
- Work very closely with material planner for the best lead-time, and forecast planning for the long lead time materials
- Follow up and work closely with finance to ensure the payment will be done according to the payment term. This is to ensure the arrival date are kept and develop supplier trust of our payment commitment
- Work closely with QA and suppliers for any quality issues and ensure the commitment date to customer is met
- Work closely with R&D , Mechanical and Product Marketing for the final approval of the material purchase to ensure to approved materials/ components are purchased
- Manage and supervise all SP staff and helping them to solve any problems faced by them
- Control and monitor the staff performance, define the key performance index, provide guidance, ensure staffs are following the company rules and regulation
– Management may assign any other task when necessary
Requirements ;
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, any field.
- Required skill(s): able to use analytical and statistical model to analyse demands and forecast, strong analytical and interpersonal skills, Strong leadership and management skills, MS Office.
- At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Applicants must be willing to work in Bukit Jalil.
- Preferably Managers specializing in Purchasing/Inventory/Material & Warehouse Management or equivalent.
- Full-Time position(s) available.
