JOB DESCRIPTION

Key Accountabilities (Primary accountabilities are those over which the job holder has a controlling impact on
end results. Express these accountabilities in a series of short statements):

 

– Draft policy wordings, to be in compliance with the Vietnamese law/regulations as well as technical descriptions and get approval from authorities;
– In charge of all legal matters between the Company and customers, partners, authorities (incl. legal settlement of all claims and benefits related disputes, legal proceeding at the court, authorities….);
– Draft/review the internal rules and make sure it’s in compliance with the local law and regulations (when required).
– Provide legal advice/opinion in the fields of labor, commercial, finance/accounting, banking, insurance, investment, tax, … to other departments in the Company.
– Draft and/or Review (in cooperation with external lawyers, if so required) all internal and external contracts that PVN engages, to make sure the compliance with Vietnamese regulations as well as internal policies of the Company;
– Translate contracts, policy wordings, documents into English and vice versa.
– Other tasks as assigned by the Head of Legal and Compliance from time to time.

 

Technical/Professional Competency Requirements:

 

 Good knowledge in insurance, especially in life/health insurance.
 Good communication and interpersonal skills;
 Being able to work independently as well as within a team;
 Good time management skill.

 

Core Competency Requirements:

 Accuracies, attention to details, cautious with sensitive/confidential information ;
 Good at using Microsoft office;

 

Minimum Qualification and Experience Requirements

 

Education: Bachelor degree, University degree majoring in economic/finance laws, preference is given to candidates graduated from law university/economic institute

Years of Related Work Experiences:
At least 3 years experience in legal compliance, preference in financial services

Languages Required (indicate level of proficiency required)
Fluent English & Vietnamese Good command of French is an advantage
